Kerala Tour Package Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kochi – Transfer to Munnar (Approx. 4.5 hours / 130 km)
Upon your arrival at Kochi Airport or Railway Station, you will be greeted by your driver/guide. Begin your scenic journey towards Munnar, a picturesque hill station known for its sprawling tea gardens, misty mountains, and cool climate. En route, you can stop at Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls and spice plantations. Arrive in Munnar by afternoon or evening, check into your hotel, and relax. The evening is free to explore the local market or simply unwind amidst the serene nature. Overnight stay in Munnar.
Day 2: Munnar Sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed for a full-day sightseeing tour of Munnar. Visit Eravikulam National Park (home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr), followed by a trip to the Tea Museum where you can learn about tea processing. Later, head to Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Lake, and Blossom Park. Enjoy boat rides or elephant rides (optional) and take in the majestic views of the Western Ghats. Return to the hotel in the evening for an overnight stay in Munnar.
Day 3: Munnar to Thekkady
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Thekkady, a region famous for its spice plantations and wildlife. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on Periyar Lake inside Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, where you might spot elephants, bison, and other wildlife. Later, you can visit spice gardens, watch a Kathakali or Kalaripayattu show (traditional dance and martial art), or shop for spices and handicrafts in the local market. Overnight stay in Thekkady.
Day 4: Thekkady to Alleppey
After breakfast, proceed to Alleppey, known as the "Venice of the East" for its serene backwaters and houseboat experiences. Upon arrival, board your private houseboat and cruise through the enchanting backwaters, passing lush paddy fields, coconut groves, and village life. Enjoy traditional Kerala meals served onboard. Relax and soak in the beauty of the surroundings as the boat anchors for the night. Overnight stay on the houseboat in Alleppey.
Day 5: Alleppey to Kovalam
After a relaxed breakfast, drive to Kovalam, one of Kerala’s most famous beach destinations. Day 6: Day Trip to Kanyakumari
Early morning, proceed for a full-day excursion to Kanyakumari, the southernmost tip of mainland India. Visit the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Thiruvalluvar Statue, Kanyakumari Temple, and the confluence of the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal, and Indian Ocean. Watch the sunset over the ocean before returning to Kovalam in the evening. Overnight stay in Kovalam.
Day 7: Kovalam to Trivandrum Drop
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Trivandrum for departure. If time permits before your flight/train, you can visit the Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Napier Museum, or local markets for souvenirs. Tour ends with wonderful memories of Kerala!
